It was a parade of hits for Jim Fisher of the Greensboro Grasshoppers at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium today.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Fisher finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Grasshoppers to a 21-0 victory.
"Fisher was really good and we were really bad," groaned Cubs manager Akil Baddoo. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Jim Fisher singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
So far this season Fisher has 4 home runs and a .272 batting average.
