Nakamura Sensational, 6-for-6
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day.
Kazuyoshi Nakamura is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-6 against the Idaho Falls Chukars at Eastwood Field today. The monster effort from the 31-year-old left fielder helped the Mahoning Valley Scrappers take the win, 21-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Chukars manager Michael Petersen. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Kazuyoshi Nakamura hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Nate Mumaw in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
This season Nakamura is batting .258 with 14 home runs.
