Southern Maryland Punchless in 9-0 Loss to Aigles
|
Trois-Riveres Aigles hurler Kazuyoshi Miyazaki logged a 4-hit, complete game shutout over the Blue Crabs, stopping them 9-0 at The Aquarium today.
"I felt great out there," Miyazaki said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this."
He rung up 7 strikeouts and gave up no walks in the performance.
Thus far this season Miyazaki has compiled a 3-2 record, made 5 relief appearances with no saves, hurling 49.1 innings and striking out 46. He has held the opposition to a .210 batting average with a 3.28 ERA.
