Cordle Torches Bees for 5 Hits
|
No matter what the Salt Lake Bees threw at him today, Tim Cordle hit it. He easily handled Bees pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Sounds to a 9-1 triumph at Smith's Ballpark.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Cordle's quip, Bees skipper Bryan Henry said he "would take him up on that next time."
Tim Cordle hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year Cordle has hit at a .302 clip with 65 hits, no home runs, 24 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
