Rakoff Sparkles in 4-0 Shutout
It wasn't easy but the Altoona Curve made it look that way.

Starter Ryan Rakoff shut out the Mobile BayBears despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Altoona Curve cruised to victory, 4-0. Rakoff allowed only 4 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

This season-to-date Rakoff has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 2.84 ERA.
