Picaso Too Tough, Blanks Scranton WB
Tuesday, June 11th , 2047
In an outstanding mound performance, Pawtucket Red Sox starter Frank Picaso fired a complete-game shutout against the Scranton WB RailRiders at McCoy Stadium today.
Picaso was the key to the Red Sox's 6-0 win. The 23-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 1 hit and 3 walks he allowed.
"1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."
So far this season Picaso has a 3-7 record with a 4.32 ERA.
