McAllister Tosses 8-0 Shutout Against Rochester Friday, July 5th , 2047 Wayne McAllister dominated the Rochester Red Wings with a brilliant 2-hit shutout in a Toledo Mud Hens 8-0 triumph at Fifth Third Field. The Toledo hurler fanned 11 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager. "He really kept us in check today," Red Wings skipper Nicholas Carrey said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings." In 10 starts this season McAllister has rung up a 7-2 record and a 1.82 ERA. |
