Scranton WB's Martell Gets AL Player of the Week Monday, July 15th , 2047 Larry Martell is respected by most Scranton WB RailRiders fans for his no-frills style of play. The 22-year-old right fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the American League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .321 average (9-for-28) with 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Martell is batting .248 with 53 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 33 times and has batted in 33 runs. |
