Red Wings Lead with Chin, Get KO'd, 10-0 Sunday, August 25th , 2047 Jose Robles subdued the Rochester Red Wings, 10-0, pitching a 5-hit gem for the Durham Bulls at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Durham skipper Juan Roman said afterward. Robles registered 6 strikeouts and issued no walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Rochester manager Nicholas Carrey after the defeat. In 27 starts this season Robles has crafted a 12-7 record with a 2.73 ERA. |
