Redbirds Are Champs of National League Central Division Tuesday, September 24th , 2047 Memphis Redbirds fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the National League Central Division. "There's no reason to believe we can't win it all," reliever Geoff Mooney said bluntly. "Whether or not we're favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the World Series home to Memphis." The division crown is the 16th for the Redbirds. The club will be looking for its 2nd World Series victory. Team manager Andy Flaherty said "preparation and focus" will be key to bring home the championship. |
