American League West Division Title Goes to Express Wednesday, September 25th , 2047 The city of Round Rock is buzzing tonight as their hometown club has captured a division title. The Round Rock Express officially laid claim to the American League West Division crown today and will now turn attention to preparing for a run at the franchise's 3rd World Series. "We may have been far ahead in the standings, but you never take anything for granted until it's official," said reliever Jeff Bliss. "I've seen too many strange things happen in baseball to ever assume the playoffs is a guarantee." But it now is in fact a guarantee for the club, which currently has a 91-58 record and has easily stood out as the class of the division this season. |
