Li on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle Tuesday, October 22nd , 2047 Ji-an Li roughed up Buffalo Bisons pitching in a big way at Coca-Cola Field today, leading the Reno to a 8-2 win. With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 39-year-old center fielder put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. "It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Li said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on." He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Ji-an Li hit a two-run home run off Bobby O'Connell in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season Li is batting .264 with 64 RBIs, 86 runs scored and 9 home runs. |
