Friday, November 8th , 2047
At the age of 23, Kenji Yokoyama says he still has a lot to learn about life in International League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Columbus Clippers reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2047 American League Reliever of the Year.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Asaka, Japan native said.
For the season, Yokoyama had 8 saves in 34 relief appearances, which totaled 95. He fanned 105 betters, while walking 26 and put up a record of 9-2 to go with his 1.14 ERA.
He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 30. Steven Wolf of the Charlotte Knights finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Gilberto Dominguez of the Buffalo Bisons finished third.
