McCauley Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, May 20th , 2047 Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Travelers's James McCauley at Security Bank Ballpark today. McCauley put up a 5-for-7 line against the Midland RockHounds, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 10-9 loss. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," McCauley said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. James McCauley singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th. This season McCauley has hit at a .276 clip with 20 RBIs, 2 home runs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 41 games. |
