Relief Star Wins AL Top Pitcher Honors Saturday, June 1st , 2047 So when does a fireman win an award? When he's named Jim Storer, that's when. The Chattanooga reliever won the Pitcher of the Month Award honors today for May, thanks to the solid numbers he put up coming out of the bullpen. He made no relief appearances and compiled no saves with a 3-0 mark, 38.1 innings, 42 strikeouts and a 1.64 ERA. Storer has no saves in no relief appearances this season with a 5-2 record and 1.91 ERA. |
