Portland Goes Hitless Against Moreno Sunday, June 2nd , 2047 Jesus Moreno of the Midland RockHounds was the King of the Hill today at Hadlock Field. The Midland starter dominated the Portland Sea Dogs, giving up zero hits in his 5-0 victory. "The toughest part was the last couple of innings," Moreno recounted after the game. "You know you have a no-hitter going, and so does everybody in the ballpark. That was the hard part, keeping focused and concentrating while your heart is pounding." Moreno recorded 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the game. So far this season Moreno has a 6-3 record, 12 starts, 72.2 innings, 87 strikeouts and a 2.48 ERA. |
