Red-Hot June Lands Young Batting Prize in AL Monday, July 1st , 2047 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 Noel Young has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Portland Sea Dogs star can enjoy the numbers he put up in June, which have garnered him the nod as the American League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .329 average with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and 14 runs scored. This season Young is swinging the bat at a .295 rate with 38 hits in 129 at-bats.
