Saturday, August 10th , 2047
David Nardone got the glory and the headlines today, but the Akron RubberDucks left with the win. The Chattanooga right fielder easily handled the RubberDucks pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Chattanooga Lookouts came out on the short end of the 8-6 score.
Nardone told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
David Nardone singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jon Glenn in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jon Glenn in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
Nardone on the season is hitting .254 with 7 home runs. His stats include 37 RBIs and 49 runs scored.
