League Suspends Deegan and Villarreal for Fisticuffs Tuesday, August 13th , 2047 Nick Deegan of Corpus Christi and Antonio Villarreal of New Hampshire were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Deegan will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Villarreal was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. Thus far this year Deegan is batting .243 with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 27 runs scored. Villarreal has posted a 8-2 record for the year with a 3.46 ERA. Teams are hitting .242 against him and he has rung up 100 strikeouts in 109.1 innings. |
