The Columbia Fireflies reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 08/24/2047 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a fractured elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 5-6 months. The team will likely place Capers on the injured list today. Capers has taken the hill for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 3-8 record with a 3.73 ERA.
