Red-Hot Bat: Farrar Collects Cycle
Saturday, September 21st , 2047
In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Pensacola second baseman Freddie Farrar hit for the cycle today as the Blue Wahoos marched to victory over the Biloxi Shuckers, 13-4.

Farrar collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 5 RBI and 2 runs scored to help Pensacola take the Five County Stadium contest.

"It was the last thing on my mind, really," Farrar said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."

Freddie Farrar hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim McCutcheon in the 8th.

To date, Farrar has collected 133 hits for a .296 average. He has posted 17 home runs, scored 46 runs and driven in 64 runs.
