Sea Dogs Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 25th , 2047 The Portland Sea Dogs have a new opponent: mathematics. The Sea Dogs still have games to play in their disappointing 2047 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Sea Dogs were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Portland last appeared in the postseason in 2016. This is their 31st consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 31 times in their 32 - year history. |
