Thursday, October 10th , 2047
A frustrated Cory Viola told reporters today that he would be out an additional 4 weeks after suffering a relapse in his recovery from a herniated disc. "I thought my recovery was coming along great, but then this happened," the Springfield Cardinals reliever revealed. "It's disappointing. I expected to be back with the team by now."
Viola has compiled an ERA of 2.06 so far this season, winning 3 games with no losses and no saves. In 23 relief appearances he has hurled 35 innings, yielded 22 hits and struck out 37. Opposing hitters have batted .180 against Viola.
