Daytona Win Round 1 Wednesday, January 16th , 2047 California Winter League fans were certainly not disappointed with this A Division Round 1. The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Daytona Tortugas prevailing over the Lakeland Flying Tigers to advance to the Division Series. Daytona won the final game by a score of 6-1 at Joker Marchant Stadium and that sealed the series 2-1. "Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said left fielder Bryan Johnston, who earned MVP honors. For the series, Johnston hit .308 with a .357 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
