Stone Crabs Win Round 1 Wednesday, January 16th , 2047 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the A Division Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different. The Charlotte Stone Crabs swept aside the Lake Elsinore Storm to advance to the Division Series, winning the final game by a 2-1 score at Charlotte Sports Park. The series MVP was second baseman Nelle Lommen, who hit .857 with a .857 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 0 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
