Hillcats Diaz and Rawhide Meyer Suspended for Fight Thursday, December 5th , 2047 If there wasn't a history between Chris Diaz of Lynchburg and John Meyer of Visalia, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 9 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Diaz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far in 2047 Diaz is batting .471 with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 8 hits in 17 at-bats and a .474 OBP. |
