Anastasio Sizzles -- Smokes Yankees for 5 Hits Sunday, December 15th , 2047 Justin Anastasio exploded for a barrage of base hits today at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The High Desert left fielder had a field day in the 13-1 triumph over the Tampa Yankees, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Anastasio must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Justin Anastasio singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Anastasio is batting .471 with 16 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 12 times and has batted in 9 runs. |
