Tate Hurls Rancho Cucamonga to Shutout Win Thursday, December 19th , 2047 Nate Tate subdued the Palm Beach Cardinals, 8-0, pitching a 3-hit gem for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at Roger Dean Stadium. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Rancho Cucamonga skipper Devon Travis said afterward. Tate registered 12 strikeouts and issued no walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Palm Beach manager Chris Rowley after the defeat. |
