Dickson 5-for-5 Against Winston-Salem Friday, December 20th , 2047 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Harry Dickson of the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The Richmond closer gave it his all and dominated Winston-Salem Dash pitching today at The Diamond, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Dash going home the winner, 14-9. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Dickson said later. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Harry Dickson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Andy Gibson in the 8th. |
