Bennett's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Tuesday, June 4th , 2047 Things have gotten worse for Matt Bennett of the Binghamton Mets. The 24-year-old reliever will not be back as soon as originally expected. Bennett is undergoing treatment for a sore shoulder, but his doctors have expanded his recovery time to at least one week. An unidentified team official told BNN, "Matt tried to rush his rehab and suffered a setback." Crunching the numbers on Bennett for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-4 won-lost mark and 3.25 ERA. In pitching 69.1 innings, he has totaled 87 strikeouts and 22 walks. |
