Hit Parade: O'Leary Gets Cycle
Thursday, June 13th , 2047
It was a quite a day for Bobby O'Leary at Dozer Park.
He hit for the cycle, belting out every kind of hit there is -- a single, double, triple and home run. The Peoria third baseman accomplished the rare feat during his team's 6-0 victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws.
"I never even thought about hitting for the cycle and what do you know, I did it," he told BNN reporters at the postgame press conference. "The cycle really doesn't matter to me, it's the win that's important."
O'Leary went 4-for-5 in the game with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.
Bobby O'Leary grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Danny Zuniga in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
This season O'Leary is batting .301 with 37 hits, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs, 13 walks, .372 OBP and has scored 20 runs. He has played in 42 games.
