Ruiz Sends Burlington Bats to Deep Freeze Tuesday, June 18th , 2047 Jordan Ruiz pitched a strong game at L.P. Frans Stadium today, blanking the Burlington Bees 6-0. Ruiz allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 11 strikeouts and gave up no walks. Hickory manager Kennys Vargas said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Ruiz. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Vargas said. "He threw a lot of strikes." This year Ruiz has made no relief appearances with no saves. In 76.2 innings, he has permitted 40 hits, fanned 87 hitters and recorded 9 wins and no losses with a 0.82 ERA. |
