Beloit Hopeless Against Young
Friday, June 28th , 2047
Jarred Young handcuffed the Beloit Snappers at L.P. Frans Stadium today, coming away with a 2-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Hickory Crawdads right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Young had little trouble with the Snappers and led the Crawdads to victory, 9-0. He recorded 12 strikeouts and 1 walk in an impressive performance.
Young has a 3-4 season record so far. In 8 starts, he has fanned 65 batters in 59.2 innings with a 2.56 ERA.
