Injury Shuts Down Charles for Season Saturday, June 29th , 2047 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Hartford Yard Goats: reliever Bruce Charles is out for the year. Charles suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament on 06/27/2047. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. This year Charles has no saves, totaled 23.1 innings, allowed 36 base hits and fashioned a 10.41 ERA while racking up 26 strikeouts and a record of no wins and no losses. |
