Young Humbles Quad Cities, 16-0 Tuesday, July 9th , 2047 Jarred Young kept the Quad Cities River Bandits hitters from doing any damage at Modern Woodmen Park today. Quad Cities could only muster 4 hits and take 2 walks against the right-handed Young, who controlled them throughout the game as Hickory took the contest, 16-0. Young added 9 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Young told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." This year Young has 4 wins and 4 losses and a 2.16 ERA. |
