Daum Hot, River Bandits Cold Thursday, August 15th , 2047 West Michigan Whitecaps pitcher Jim Daum did his job to perfection today, blanking the Quad Cities River Bandits at Fifth Third Ballpark. He scattered 1 hit while striking out 9 in the 9-0 shutout. "All I did was not allow any runs," he joked after the game. "I mean, technically, that's what they pay me to do, right?" Checking out his stats for the season, Daum has racked up 7 wins and 12 losses in 23 starts, 5.29 ERA and struck out 81 batters in 132.2 innings. |
