Cabello and Pi Suspended for Free-for-All
Tuesday, August 20th , 2047
Jose Cabello of the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Yuan-zhang Pi of the Hartford Yard Goats will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 3 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Grasshoppers-Yard Goats game at NewBridge Bank Park.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Cabello and Pi will begin serving them soon.
This year Cabello is hitting .259 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .330 clip and scored 23 runs.
This season Pi has accumulated 1 save, registered a 4.79 ERA and struck out 56 in 47 innings. He also has a 3-3 record in 16 relief appearances.
