Legault Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Saturday, August 24th , 2047
Dustin Legault continued his streak at Parkview Field today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Kane County catcher was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Cougars were not as fortunate, losing 5-1 to the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
"Legault was hitting everything we threw at him," said Fort Wayne manager Itsuo Yoshioka. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Dustin Legault struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
This year Legault is hitting at a .285 pace with 11 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has played in 88 games and scored 51 times.
