Suns End Legault's Streak
Monday, September 2nd , 2047
It was the best of both worlds for the Hagerstown Suns today at Municipal Stadium, as they defeated the Kane County Cougars 5-2 and also snapped Dustin Legault's 24-game hitting streak. The 24-year-old Kane County catcher failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Legault, we just wanted to win the game," said Suns skipper Kevin Kiermaier. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Legault frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
This season Legault is hitting .281 with 99 hits, 11 home runs, 55 RBIs, scored 52 runs and played in 93 games.
