He hurled the Hickory Crawdads to a 8-0 shutout victory, yielded 1 hit and chalked up 10 strikeouts and 3 walks. "A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." This season Sever has compiled a 10-6 record with a 2.77 ERA in 20 starts. |
