Nunez Records 8-0 Shutout Against Lexington Friday, September 13th , 2047 Rich Nunez blitzed the Lexington Legends at Fifth Third Ballpark today, pitching the West Michigan Whitecaps to victory, 8-0. Nunez needed 9 innings to shut out the Legends, striking out 7. "I knew he had it in him, but it's still nice to see him put it all together," said West Michigan manager Mark Trumbo. Nunez surrendered 5 hits and 2 walks in the outing. Checking out his stats for the season, Nunez has notched 7 wins and 10 losses in 18 starts, 5.64 ERA and struck out 109 batters in 142 innings. |
