Conference Championship Goes the Distance, Peoria Prevails

It took a while, but the Peoria Chiefs finally disposed of the Great Lakes Loons 3-1 in the series clincher at Dozer Park.
Winning the finale gave the Chiefs the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the World Series.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Peoria third baseman Bobby O'Leary. He batted .414 in the series, collecting 7 RBIs and scoring 2 runs.
The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes.
