Kannapolis Takes Conference Championship in Deciding Game Thursday, October 31st , 2047 In an exciting Conference Championship that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is Midwest League fans who have come out the winner. But on the field, the winners were the Kannapolis Intimidators, who edged the Lansing Lugnuts 4-3 to advance to the World Series. Kannapolis won the final game by a 6-4 count to wrap up the series. Ruben Velasco Jr. earned series MVP honors, by hitting .269 with a .367 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
