Dominguez Named Top Reliever for NL

At the age of 22, Carlos Dominguez says he still has a lot to learn about life in Midwest League.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Atlanta (MID) Braves reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2047 National League Reliever of the Year.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the
Encrucijada, Cuba native said.

For the season, Dominguez had 4 saves in 53 relief appearances, which totaled 57.2. He fanned 75 betters, while walking 11 and put up a record of 2-1 to go with his 0.94 ERA.

He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 30. William Lobo of the Great Lakes Loons finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Nick Peters of the Peoria Chiefs finished third with 1 first place vote.
