Batista Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, June 18th , 2047
Ricardo Batista led Minnesota (NYP) to a 10-0 victory today by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's most difficult feats.
"With my wheels, I don't get many triples, so that was definitely the hardest hit for me," the first baseman said later.
Batista went 4-for-5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored in today's triumph over the Los Angeles (NYP) Angels.
Ricardo Batista doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Hector Carrizales in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
In his stats this season, Batista has posted a batting average of .278 with 58 hits in 209 at-bats, 8 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has also scored 48 runs, walked 35 times and compiled a .404 OBP.
