Vega NYP's #1 Pitcher in September Tuesday, October 1st , 2047 Jose Vega of Mahoning Valley had an award-winning September as he took home the McNamara Division Pitcher of the Month award. "He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Vega's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in September except for Jose." Vega was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 4-1 record in 5 starts. He struck out 57 batters in 37.2 innings and kept opponents to a .170 batting average. This season Vega has compiled a 8-2 record with a 0.83 ERA. |
