Rangers Cepero No-Hits Astros
Saturday, September 14th , 2047
In a dominant outing, Jose Cepero of the Texas (APP) Rangers totally silenced the bats of the Greeneville Astros, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the Rangers' 10-0 victory, Cepero faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 15 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Texas (APP) manager Dylan Moore said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Rangers had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Cepero pitched a heck of a ballgame."
In 23 starts this season, Cepero has recorded 14 wins and absorbed 4 losses. He has pitched 146.2 innings, allowed 97 hits, struck out 218 and has a 2.15 ERA.
