Monday, September 23rd , 2047
Javon Mitchell was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 16-4 Cleveland (APP) Indians triumph at Burlington Athletic Stadium today.
The 21-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Indians past the Burlington Royals.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Mitchell told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The second baseman went 4-for-4, rung up 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day.
Javon Mitchell walked in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Brett Essary in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Paul Gibbens in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ken Milhouse in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year Mitchell is batting .264 with 115 hits and 31 home runs. He has scored 109 times and has batted in 104 runs.
