Monday, September 23rd , 2047
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Voyagers-Yankees game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Great Falls second baseman Billy Grubbs thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Great Falls to a 27-7 win over Pulaski.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Grubbs said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Grubbs was 3-for-4 on the day with 5 RBI.
Billy Grubbs hit a two-run home run off Alex Ramirez in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Matt Cusatis in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Manny de la Cruz in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
In 82 games this year Grubbs has posted a .318 average and put up these numbers: 43 home runs, 111 RBIs and 103 runs scored.
