Yagi Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, September 24th , 2047 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the San Francisco (APP) Giants today. Grand Junction catcher Yamashita Yagi tripled up on the home runs to propel the Rockies to the 21-12 win at Suplizio Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," San Francisco (APP) manager Patrick Scoggin said. "Yagi hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Yagi collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Yamashita Yagi walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Sergio Silva in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Zambrano Jr. in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jeff Briggs in the 8th. On the year Yagi has hit .239 with 13 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 40 runs. |
